Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort Review, Panwa Cape, Phuket, THAILAND: Extraordinaire!

Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort Review, Panwa Cape, Phuket, THAILAND: Extraordinaire!

Together with Indonesian blogger Wahyu, we were scheduled to stay at Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort for 2 nights in Phuket. Little did I know that Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort will be one of the most exciting stays in my life.
sri panwa lobby2
We reached the resort aroud 9 pm. Since it was dark, it didn’t shine as much as I could imagine. However, as we walked into the lobby area, the view and the décor is magnificent.

I was then guided to my room and I met Bob, the butler. Pardon me, but that was my first time encounter with a butler in my life.  Bob was nice, he slowly showed me the room and eventually I made a walkthrough video with him explaining.

I had a great relaxing nights there. The room is equipped with BOSE sound system which comes with an iPod playing a playlist of soft and relaxing music. Not forgetting also the LCD TV and the FREE WIFI service in the room. Everything in the minibar is complimentary and they will refill on the next day.

Morning at Sri Panwa is greeted with the magnificent sea view. Since Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort is built on the Panwa cape, most rooms are designed in such that they are facing the sea. This is one of the best rooms I’ve stayed, hands down.

Breakfast is served at another area so there are buggies always around to ferry us. Breakfast at Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort comes with ala-carte style ordering with a wide choice of selections. There are also various types of cereals and fruit juices available.

Staying 2 nights in Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort really changes my mindset on Phuket’s luxury villas. Most people associate luxury villas to Bali. I believe Sri Panwa can rival some of the best villas in Bali. However, a luxury villa like Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort comes with a price. My room which is the cheapest; cost around 21000 Thai Baht or 650 US Dollars per night. However, it is all worth it in my own opinion.

Lastly, I must thank Clare from Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort and Tourism Authority for the review. The stay at Sri Panwa Pool Villa Resort was top class and it will remain as my bragging rights for a very long time.

We have seen Wat Arun night view in many postcards or magazines around the world. However, it was my first time seeing it during the Loy Krathong festival. Boats and cruises are decorated with colourful lights, it was an amazing celebration. I was told, it is prettier in Chiang Mai and I hope to witness one in the future.

Promthep Cape Sunset View, Phuket

promthep cape3

Phuket is always a darling to me. My first trip to Phuket was in 1992 and it was my first ever trip to Thailand. I can still recalled clearly that I’ve visited a beautiful cape and it was during this recent trip, I’ve realize that is called the Promthep Cape. I had only 10 minutes to capture the best pictures I can because we were late due to heavy traffic. I am grateful that I capture this beautiful sunset picture at Promthep Cape and it will be one of the amazing sunset picture I have captured!

Before I forget, Merry Christmas everyone!

Simon Cabaret of Phuket

Simon Cabaret of Phuket

It is one of the most popular attractions in Thailand, the ladyboy show. I would prefer calling them ladyboys rather than transvestites.

Simon Cabaret is one of the top ladyboy shows in Phuket. It has been in business for quite some time. I was given the chance to watch the Simon Cabaret show in Phuket for the first time.

However, due to the strictness of the management, we were not allowed to take photographs of the show. Thus, I wishedour tour guide could do more by talking to their management to allow us to take some photographs to promote the place.

The show was good and it was well received by the international audiences. Some tourists even dance and cheer during the show. I wish I can share the pictures of the show.

Well, for what is permitted, I only have a few pictures of the ladyboys after the show. Please enjoy.

Beautiful Sunset at Patong Beach, Phuket

Beautiful Sunset at Patong Beach, Phuket

If I would post a picture of this sunset, many would say I “Photoshop” it. Sometimes it is hard to show something so beautiful in picture, so I decided to video record it. Picture blogging is so 2008, I prefer video blogging to show “images in motion”.

Patong Beach is a very popular spot for most Malaysian tourists. This is an evidence why as the sunset in Patong is so beautiful. I stayed in Patong various times from 1992, and I always have my love with this area. Please enjoy the video in HD, thank you!

Teeth Whitening at Promjai Dental Clinic, Phuket, THAILAND

Teeth Whitening at Promjai Dental Clinic, Phuket, THAILAND

I couldn’t believe it when I was arranged for a teeth whitening session at the dental clinic in Phuket courtesy of Tourism Authority of Thailand. My stereotyped mindset tells me that Phuket is only popular for tourism. Well, that is not the case. Medical tourism in Phuket has been booming in recent years. In fact, Bangkok Hospital Phuket is voted as one of the top hospitals in Thailand. In addition, Phuket is also popular for its dental services.

My appointment for my teeth whitening session was at Promjai Dental Clinic. The clinic has a strong history in Bangkok as they have been operating for decades there and in Phuket, they have 3 outlets. The outlet I went located at the popular area of Patong. The clinic is facing the beautiful Patong beach.

I was told that Promjai Dental Clinic is popular for its highly invested equipments. The owner believes in quality and giving the best for their customers. I had a long chat with the owner and she is a humble lady.

Dentist explaining the Zoom! Teeth Whitening process.

There are 2 popular teeth whitening procedure. The SmileBrite and the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure. After checking my teeth, the dentist advised me on the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure.

For those who is looking forward for teeth whitening, please aware of this. The procedure in most cases will causes stinging sensation in your tooth due to sensitivity. Most Asians will suffer this stinging pain. This includes me. The stinging sensation will come and go but it was all better on the next day. Yet again, this depends on individuality. For most Caucasians, the procedure might not even hurt a bit. This is due to the difference of the teeth structure. You have been warned.

The Dentist explaining the procedure of the teeth whitening.

After the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure, I can’t believe my eyes how white my teeth are. I guess its no pain no gain. For the procedure it cost Thai Baht 12,000 but they do have on-going promotion from time to time. Please contact them for more accurate pricing.

It was a great experience having my teeth whiten up in Phuket and I must say the dentist in Promjai Dental Clinic did a great tremendous job. Thank you!

Dental Experience in Phuket

Medical Tourism: Dental Experience in Phuket

Dental is not cheap and trust me getting the right treatment is very important. I’ve been to a few different dental clinics in Malaysia and I had my bad experiences there. At times, I ended up bleeding near my gums and it got sore for days.

dental in phuket

I always believe paying the right price will get the right treatment. However that is going to change. My visits to a few Phuket dental clinics really opened my eyes. Dental clinics in Phuket are designed to look like resorts and some clinics have 2-3 dentists in their clinic.

On top of the 5 star services, the dentists are well trained. Overall, my experiences in dental clinics in Phuket are amazing. And it’s a wonder how reasonable it is to do my dental check up and such in Phuket. Want to know more?

I will explain more in details in the few upcoming posts. Thank you for reading.

Watches at Chatuchak Market

Watches at Chatuchak Market

My recent trip to Bangkok was more than fun.  David Hogan, another contestant and I went to the largest weekend market in the world, Chatuchak Market during our free time. We went there via BTS Skytrain, the most convenient transportation to go to the market and not forgetting also the underground train which is equally good!
Watches at Chatuchak Market
I took the picture from the inner glass of the watches showcase. With my using wide angle lens, I got a wider perspective and also I loved how the bright lights in the picture.

Just for some tips in Chatuchak. Please do ask before you take any pictures and always beware of pickpockets. They have random announcements on the pick pockets.

I enjoyed my time there sipping ice coffee in the stall and had a great time chatting with David and my best friend Peter. A must visit place in Bangkok!
